TechHealth was a healthcare services company that quickly grew to become one of the industry's fastest-growing companies before merging with One Call Care Management in 2013.
Tom Sweet is the founder, Managing Director, and CEO of ProtoLytic, LLC, a SaaS, InsurTech managed care software and data analytics company. With over 30 years of experience in the technology and healthcare industries, Tom is a seasoned executive leader and innovator.
Before founding ProtoLytic, Tom co-founded TechHealth, Inc., where he served as CEO and President from 1999 until orchestrating a private equity acquisition in 2013. Under his leadership, TechHealth became one of the fastest-growing companies in the healthcare services industry and was acquired by Odyssey Investment Partners and APAX in a merger with One Call Medical, providing the company's early investors with more than a 1,400% return of dividends and capital gains.
Prior to his work at TechHealth, Tom held senior positions at GTE Corporation (now Verizon Corp.) including Vice President, Information Technology Services, Vice President and General Manager-Business Sales, and VP & General Manager-Infrastructure Provisioning. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA and completed graduate work at the University of Dallas in computer science.
Tom's extensive experience in executive leadership and technology innovation has been instrumental in the success of ProtoLytic and its industry-leading UR Express platform.
Dr. Leonard Kleinrock pioneered the mathematical theory of packet networks, the technology underpinning the Internet. He sent the very first message over the Internet and is recognized as one of the first pioneers of today’s Internet.
For his enormous contribution to understanding the power of packet networks and the Internet, he received the 2007 National Medal of Science bestowed by the President of the United States.
Dr. Kleinrock is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the IEEE, a fellow of the ACM, and the recipient of a long list of prestigious prizes and awards.
Len wrote the first book on packet networking, and he publishing over 250 papers and six books on the subject.
Kleinrock received his Ph.D. from MIT and currently serves as a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at UCLA.
Ms. Summers was with TechHealth for fifteen years and served as Chief Operations Officer where she implemented major improvements in the system and business processes in Operations resulting in significant quality improvements and efficiency gains. Bridgette reorganized operations to better meet customer needs by creating a customer-centric organization.
Prior to her position as COO, she was Executive Vice President of Human Resources where she was responsible for HR policies, benefits, staffing, compensation, payroll, and administration of the stock option plans. Additionally, she was responsible for investor relations, and was elected Corporate Secretary. Bridgette worked with outside counsel and handled all legal matters including client contracts.
Bridgette graduated from the Florida State University with a BA in Psychology.
Alex Chang currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Ayon Capital, a single-family office investment team that manages a diverse portfolio of operating companies and investments focused on healthcare and technology.
Alex started his career in investment banking at the Financial Institutions Group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette before leading multiple business planning and development initiatives at the Walt Disney Company, identifying and advancing key Parks and Resorts segment growth initiatives, and pursuing expansion of innovative and immersive Disney experiences in new and existing markets.
Prior to joining Ayon, Alex oversaw global finance and operations for Lab49 Consulting, responsible to lead the rapid growth and successful sale of a 200+ person strategy, design and technology consulting firm, creating high-end capital market solutions for the world’s leading investment banks, asset managers and exchanges.
Alex holds an AB in Economics from Harvard University.
Mr. Schopke is currently the COO of DataLink, a healthcare technology company, which provides data aggregation, and electronic health records connectivity and reporting.
From 2013 to 2018, He served as CEO of Medical Pay Review, Inc., now a wholly owned subsidiary of ProtoLytic, LLC.
Prior to his role with Medical Pay Review, he devoted 12 years from 2001 to 2013 to TechHealth, Inc., a national workers’ compensation service provider. In 2008, Mr. Schopke was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. In this role as CFO, which continued until the merger with One Call in 2013, Michael was responsible for overseeing processes within the finance department, including systems reengineering, outsourcing, and reimbursement strategies. During this time, TechHealth’s earnings continued to increase at an average rate of 20% year-over-year. Michael took on additional leadership responsibilities in Sales to help during critical periods.
Mr. Schopke graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Accounting and continued graduate studies at the University of Central Florida in Economics and Finance.
Diane Green is a highly experienced healthcare professional with over 30 years of industry experience. As a recognized subject matter expert in workers' compensation Utilization Review and URAC accreditation, she is responsible for creating requirements for ProtoLytic, a SaaS, InsurTech managed care software and data analytics company.
Diane's workers' compensation and URAC journey began when she joined a large, national group health carrier and their newly created workers' compensation division as a UR Nurse, eventually becoming a Regional Director after relocating to open a National Utilization Review and Case Management department serving national workers' compensation insurers and employers. She then held various senior positions with two large, national workers' compensation carriers in the Property and Casualty industry.
Diane holds a bachelor's degree in nursing as well as a master's degree in healthcare management. Her extensive experience in workers' compensation and URAC accreditation, combined with her clinical and management expertise, make her a valuable asset to ProtoLytic and Ascential Care Partners.
Tom Sweet is an accomplished professional with a strong background in technical services and sales operations. At ProtoLytic, he plays a pivotal role in defining the business requirements for the company's products. Prior to joining ProtoLytic, Tom served as Director of Technical Services and Social Networks for a leading healthcare services company.
With almost six years of experience as a senior solutions architect for Verizon Business, Tom has an impressive track record of providing engineering solutions for the company's enterprise-level customers. He consistently achieved over 120% in sales performance during his tenure. Before that, he was a Region Sales Engineer with Verizon, where he was responsible for designing network solutions and recommending equipment for content creators and VoIP clients.
Earlier in his career, Tom served as Vice President for West Sales and Operations for General Fiber Communications. He was responsible for establishing and managing a new branch for the company, with full P&L responsibility.
Tom completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara in computer science.
